Orange County Adult Entertainment: Alleged Sexual Predator On The Loose At UCLA Campus
January 28, 2012 | | Leave a Comment
At approximately 2:20 a.m. police say a male suspect called out to a female student climbing the steps of the area known as Saxon Trail. After a brief conversation, the man allegedly pulled the woman to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
The victim was able to escape without injury.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, approximately 21 years old with short brown hair and blue eyes.
Campus police issued a crime alert and safety warning to students Friday.
“It’s actually kind of scary,” said one female student. “Because you think about this trail and how popular it is.”
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact UCLA campus police at (310) 825-1491.
Police urge students to avoid walking alone when possible, and to utilize escort services available on campus.

SANTA ANA, Calif.—A former Marine convicted of killing three women in Illinois pleaded not guilty Friday to murdering five more women in California.
Andrew Urdiales entered the plea in Superior Court in Santa Ana, said Farrah Emami, a spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Authorities allege Urdiales killed five women in Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties between 1986 and 1995. Many of his victims were prostitutes who were repeatedly stabbed or shot.
Urdiales was convicted in 2002 of two murders in Illinois and a third in 2004 and sentenced to death. Two of those sentences were commuted to life without the possibility of parole in 2002 by then-Gov. George Ryan. When Illinois banned the death penalty, Urdiales’ third sentence also was commuted to life without the possibility of parole.

Orange County Escorts: CORONA: Human trafficking a reality in Inland area, expert says

Some of those victims were forced to work as domestic servants or peddlers, usually selling candy, magazines or cleaning products door-to-door or at shopping centers but not for an identifiable nonprofit or good cause, she said.
Although a few children and teens may sell candy or magazines to help support their families, others are trafficking victims, she said.
Eighty percent, however, are child commercial sexual exploitation cases, O’Farrell said.
Minors are identified as victims under federal law, she said, but the statistics reminds people that even for women, prostitution “wasn’t their dream job,” she said.
“For most of the girls, this is not what they thought they were getting into,” O’Farrell said. For most, a friend asked them to come to a party. Once there, their cellphones were taken away, they were separated from their friends and gang raped, she said.
Pimps come to the “rescue” of such girls in distress, she said.

Ontario man takes plea bargain for sex crimes

An Ontario man faces 19 years in state prison at his sentencing next month after pleading no contest to a handful of sex crimes involving a teenaged girl and a woman.
Tremaine Ulysses Smiler withdrew his not-guilty plea and pleaded no contest to four felony counts as a part of a plea bargain Friday in West Valley Superior Court in Rancho Cucamonga, according to court records.
Smiler, a 39-year-old alleged pimp, will be sentenced Feb. 29 before Judge Shahla Sabet, said Deputy District Attorney Karen Schmauss, who prosecuted the case.
According to court testimony in Smiler’s case, he was alleged to have committed numerous crimes in July 2009 against a 17-year-old girl and a 31-year-old woman.

Orange County Escorts: “Sing like your life depends on it”: Etta James—1938-2012

Her addiction led to association with gangsters and criminals, and frequent convictions and jail terms. On one occasion she pawned her band’s instruments to buy heroin. Leonard Chess booked her into a clinic, but she managed only to contract tetanus.
She claimed she received no royalties from Chess and only survived by playing clubs.
Yet she was recording some of her strongest material. In 1967 she released a double-sided single of the driving “Tell Mama” and the aching “I’d Rather Go Blind”. Many of the younger singers who admired her, like Janis Joplin, did not survive the same punishing lifestyle. James always felt a sense of responsibility for Joplin’s early death.
In 1968 she married Artis Mills, a former pimp. More jail time followed. In 1972 both were arrested for possession of heroin. Mills took responsibility and served 10 years. James was committed to a psychiatric hospital.

Orange County Massage Parlors: Sex is no city’s business

Sex is no city’s business
Give Simi Valley Mayor Bob Huber credit.
When he sees something he believes is dangerous for Simi Valley starting to make inroads into our little hamlet, he talks tough and tries to take action.
His target du jour for the past two months? Sex.
Last December, Huber took aim at Simi Valley’s massage parlors and, more specifically, acts of prostitution that were reportedly taking place in some of the establishments. Such reports now appear accurate, with two female employees arrested as a result of an undercover sting by the Simi Valley Police Department
Perhaps emboldened by the success of that battle, Huber has now trained his eye on the porn industry.
With the City of Los Angeles’ adoption earlier this month of an ordinance requiring condom use by performers in pornographic films, there has been much speculation that the companies responsible for producing said movies will pull up stakes and look for new locales near their current San Fernando Valley stronghold in which to ply their trade.
