However, the danger inherent in unsafe sex in adult films is more important than viewers’ preferences. Last month, the Los Angeles Times reported 17 cases of contracted HIV involving porn actors, according to public officials. Besides HIV, STDs are a risk according to Shelly Luben a former adult actress who stated on her website, Pink Cross Foundation that she contracted HPV which led to cervical cancer performing in 30 films. California Watch, a news website founded by the center for Investigative Reporting, reported in 2010 that the number of people in the adult entertainment industry who are actually infected with HIV remains unknown, since in gay adult films, the actors are not required to be tested for HIV.

Fullerton, Calif., punk rock band Social Distortion performed a sold-out concert at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday night, and contributing photographer Erik Kabik was up close and personal to frontman Mike Ness (vocals, guitars), David Hidalgo Jr. (drums), Jonny Wickersham (guitars) and Brent Harding (bass) for his rock star photo gallery.

No trial date has been set.

The Lakers D-League affiliate has decided to end Alston’s time in purgatory, though, as they add to a roster that currently includes former draft picks Gerald Green, Mardy Collins, Orien Greene and Lakers’ assignee Derrick Caracter.
Alston’s last shot at the NBA came with the Miami Heat during the 2009-10 season and, after starting all 25 games played for the team, their relationship didn’t end amicably. Alston then returned to basketball in early 2011 with a trip to China, but after scheduling a trip home to attend a funeral, he was reportedly told not to return as the team didn’t feel they could trust him. Though Alston has been off the basketball court since last February, he’s still been making headlines: He was sued in August for a fight at a strip club that happened in July 2010 while attempting to redeem his image as head coach at Christian Life Center Academy in Houston, Tex.

It outlined critical and significant changes to the program, which has been a source of embarrassment for the agency. Late last year, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton ordered a thorough review of the program.
The proposed fixes would prohibit students from working in factories, manufacturing, retail shipping and packing operations and seafood plants.
The agency also plans on “re-emphasizing the adult entertainment industry prohibition by specifically prohibiting jobs with escort services, adult book/video stores, massage parlors, and strip clubs.”

Orange County Adult Entertainment: Cypress company sues Memorial business owner for demation

A Cypress-area commercial property company is suing after, it says, a Memorial business owner attempted to sully its good name over a cement wall.
Roalty Properties, of Cypress, and Michael Roa filed a lawsuit on Jan. 26 in Harris County District Court against George Edward Birnbaum, doing business as The Fireplace Man in Memorial, citing trespass, private nuisance and defamation.
The suit alleges in 2011, Birnbaum had a cement wall built, without a permit, between his business, located at 5818 S.W. Freeway, and Roalty’s property. According to the brief, the wall has created a hazard for drivers and has encroached on Roalty’s property.
The plaintiffs say when they complained about Birnbaum’s wall, he embarked on a smear campaign, spreading rumors that Roa ran a brothel and was involved in other illegal activity.
