An Ontario man faces 19 years in state prison at his sentencing next month after pleading no contest to a handful of sex crimes involving a teenaged girl and a woman.
Tremaine Ulysses Smiler withdrew his not-guilty plea and pleaded no contest to four felony counts as a part of a plea bargain Friday in West Valley Superior Court in Rancho Cucamonga, according to court records.
Smiler, a 39-year-old alleged pimp, will be sentenced Feb. 29 before Judge Shahla Sabet, said Deputy District Attorney Karen Schmauss, who prosecuted the case.
According to court testimony in Smiler’s case, he was alleged to have committed numerous crimes in July 2009 against a 17-year-old girl and a 31-year-old woman.
